“Awaken the Subtle Body: Tantric Meditation and Hatha Sadhana in Kathmandu & Rishikesh”

Have you been longing for more depth in your yoga or meditation practice, but unsure where to go next? Maybe you’ve touched something profound in stillness, breath, or ritual… but you know there’s more waiting to be uncovered. Perhaps you’re simply curious—drawn to the mystery of Tantra, the subtle body, or the ancient teachings of yoga as they were originally practiced and transmitted.
If so, I invite you to join me this October for a unique and powerful two-part retreat series in Kathmandu and Rishikesh—a journey into the heart of classical Tantric meditation and Haṭha Yoga sādhanā, rooted in the original Sanskrit texts like the Haṭha Pradīpikā, Gorakṣaśataka, and Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra.
Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or simply a sincere seeker, you’ll receive in-depth guidance on both the how and the why—each practice carefully explained, culturally and historically grounded, and experientially explored. This is an opportunity to slow down, go inward, and immerse yourself in an authentic lineage of yoga that is rarely taught in modern studios.
You’ll leave not only with new tools and practices, but with a clearer understanding of the deeper purpose behind them—how they fit together, where they come from, and how to integrate them into a meaningful sādhanā of your own. This is more than just a retreat—it’s a return to the source, a chance to immerse yourself in the living current of yoga tradition, and to reconnect with the wisdom, discipline, and sacred curiosity that first brought you to this path.
OCTOBER 11th- 26th 2025

There is something indescribable about practicing spiritual sādhanā in the heart of the Himalayas—something that can only be felt in the bones, the breath, and the stillness between mantras. To sit in meditation along the banks of the Ganges in Rishikesh, or in the shadow of Buddhist stupas and Śaiva shrines in Kathmandu, is to remember a deeper part of yourself—one that perhaps you’ve always sensed but never quite touched.
These places are alive with ancient devotion. The temple bells, the scent of jasmine and sandalwood, the chanting of priests at sunrise, the soft rhythm of prayer wheels, the mountain winds whispering over stone pathways—everything becomes part of your practice. You begin to feel that the sacred is not something you seek, but something that has always been waiting for you.

For 16 absolutely incredible days of your life, you will be immersed in some of the most spiritually charged and visually stunning places in the Himalayan world, like Kathmandu’s sacred temple complexes of Pashupatinath and Swayambhunath, its famous historic squares, and the vibrant heart of Rishikesh, The Birthplace of Yoga, where the Ganges flows and seekers gather.
The intention is to marinate our senses in the deep spiritual atmosphere of these sites—walking through ancient courtyards, wandering colorful markets, visiting renowned ashrams, and sitting in philosophical reflection on the sands of the Ganges—to reconnect with the sacred in all things and return to the present moment with clarity.

Studying classical texts like the Haṭha Pradīpikā, Gorakṣaśataka, and Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra is like tracing your fingers over the original architecture of yoga itself—ancient, intricate, and intentional in every detail. These are not abstract theories, but living lineages filled with techniques designed to awaken energy, stabilize the mind, and open the inner eye.
Sometimes we forget that yoga is more than posture—it’s a sacred system of transformation, refined over centuries and rooted in precise inner technologies. As modern practitioners, it’s easy to lose ourselves in trends or surface-level routines. But the deeper you go, the more powerful it becomes.
Your body, your breath, your awareness—they are the altar, the ritual, and the offering. To study classical Haṭha and Tantric practice is to remember that you are both seeker and source, and that the path is already within you, waiting to be reawakened.

The pinnacle of our pilgrimage will be a Classical Haṭha Yoga immersion in Rishikesh, the legendary Home of Yoga. For 6 days, we will anchor ourselves in disciplined daily practice—āsana, prāṇāyāma, mudrā, bandha, mantra, and meditative absorption—drawing directly from the Haṭha Pradīpikā and Gorakṣaśataka.
Sunrise mantra recitation, evening satsang, conversations with local sādhus, and visits to the area’s most revered ashrams will deepen your connection to lineage and place.
